Besides the group of people that found a reason to actively work toward the destruction of the world, there is another group which, through its attitude, revealed itself equally destructive; if those who destroy think they can explain or defend their logic, the second group can do even better. It is the group of the so-called pacifists, inactives, beneficiary, parasites, opportunists...etc., - those who see themselves human enough to refuse holding the gun that will kill the neighbor or driving the machine that will destroy humanity and the Earth, etc. but their attitudes and words encourage and support the idiots that see their destructive acts as heroic.

It is in the human nature to always try to find a sort of moral or material support before and after every act - we know this very well. We know that every time the actor takes a look at his public, he is looking for a sort of appreciation of his act, an encouragement or a deterrent. In the case of modern society, many of us apparently encourage our actors of destruction - even those who believe they are sensitive to the survival issues of humanity. The modern world is made of a lot of inactive accomplices and exploiters; a lot of people have given up on life. Those who think they are intelligent by presenting themselves as a grain of sand in a desert, a drop of water in a sea, victim of the movements of the waves, etc...this is the most dangerous group of humanity. These groups of people found themselves in intelligently hypocritical positions. They have been formed by religious clergy. This is the group that evolves in blasphemy, making their own God, whoever he is, responsible for "what happens to them"; the group making their God the author of the destruction of the world that they are encouraging. And ironically, these groups hope for the heavens after their death.

If the world is the creation of the Gods, then why do those who consider themselves on the divine path look at these destructions with no reaction?

We say in Fada N'Gourma that "One catches a cow by its horns, but one catches a human being by his words." Are we interested in our material and the spiritual dimensions? If yes, we must have the honesty to see that neither our body nor our spirit can evolve in a cycle of destruction/self-destruction. One does not save the Earth by refusing to participate clearly in a struggle for the preservation of life. One does not save the Earth by playing the hypocrisy game with systems of oppression.

We must have the courage to come out of this state of intellectual inertia that makes us an unconscious contributor to the machine of destruction. We can see, every time, that our honesty manifests itself while we say to ourselves that this world is falling apart, while at the same time try to make sure not to miss the pleasures and fantasies that this system is offering us in exchange for our support or simply our silence.

If we think there is a monster or a devil working to destroy humanity, the monster or devil has its excuse: it is doing it for us. The devil is doing it for our comfort, pleasure, house, car, television, fridge...etc. We are employing the devil. He is working for us. And our illusion that the Gods do not know it is simply ridiculous.

This is what the religions have brought to this world. The religions have fulfilled their contract with the political leaders of the new society; they have furnished the politicians with people that are completely lost in space and time, with no conviction, no moral or spiritual values. The religions have furnished the politicians with people who are ignorant of the logic that leads to the divine world but, at the same time, they will not stop shouting to whoever wants to listen about their love for their God. The religions have given to politicians groups of people   that are working toward war, and at the same time never stop telling whoever is willing to listen about their love for the other. People are practicing the logic of death while they are singing their love for life...

This is one of the reasons why we feel so conveniently helpless facing the forces of destruction! We cannot be on two sides at the same time and be effective in the task of preserving life. Even the excuse of being confused does not hold on the day we will be confronted by the Gods about our actions and attitudes.

We believe that we are capable of recognizing a human being. We are capable of seeing him in all his aspects; whether he is happy or sad. And every time we watch our neighbor's smile, we cannot stop ourselves from smiling with him. The tendency to identify ourselves with others is strong. In this case, what do we feel when we watch the other pouring their tears?

This Earth belongs to us all; to say that the destruction that some of us are bringing is not our problem is forgetting that we did not reserve a place in the rocket and spaceships they are building with a goal to go and inhabit other planets. Our identity is completely linked to our planet. We rejoice when the earth is fertile and produces food. We are thirsty if the earth lacks water, and we die if it reveals itself incapable of sustaining life. We have a capital reason not to stay indifferent to our own destruction.

The seventy seven commandments of the Great Book of Divine Ordinances exists here and now for the preparation and education of the soul; to refuse to apply them completely in ones life will be like going to sit on the bench of the passive or active accomplices to the destruction of the divine work. -Naba
