The Will To Build

By Zebekiya Merutepiaou
It could be perceived to be the discarded trash, or the very materials that preserves cash.
One could say how ugly and how broken, where the other could say how humble and well spoken.
It could be determined as a lost cause, or it could be the catapult of change from a stagnant pause.
One could say “Oh just do it, there’s only one life to live”, while another could say “I’ll go ask the elder, I need the wisdom they give”.
It could be accepted to cut everyone off and just do you, or recognizing the humble act of respect and being open to your family's view.
One could say “How gross and useless” and toss old veggies and fruits, while another could say “Such a good resource”, and use it for future produce.
It could be the perfect plan of attack for selfish gain, or could be the wealth of strength moving so integrity and good character can be maintained.
One could say “Hey, that’s just not my problem”, while another could say “Here’s an issue, let’s solve them”.
It could be the corrupted vicious cycle of inflicting pain, or it could be the process of applying the qualities of a healer so that balance is maintained.
One could say “My business is what matters and forget about the rest”, while another understands the power of community and unites in success.
It could be there’s envy, ambition and to destroy is the thrill, or it could be self reflection, honesty and the strong will to build.
