Europeans, after cultivating slavery for over a millennium within their own territories, extended the culture of enslavement to all the people and natural resources they could. Culture defines one’s world; the harsh conditions and destructive decisions of early Europeans had reshaped Europe into a barbaric culture. To this day, men from the territories of Europe have continued to impose barbarism on every culture they touch.

In this world, each group of people contributes what they can to our collective history but does so only through the lens and agenda of their culture. A people can see the threats or opportunities of their environment only through the perceptive lens their culture provides. Consequently, regardless of skin color, the colonized people of the world can look back into history and identify a point where their Ancestor’s culture was influenced or altogether destroyed by European dom- ination. Within modern culture, much has been written by historians that calls our attention to the terror, desperation and pain of enslaved Meritahwi (people from the continent of Africa), but little has been written from the point of view of the Meritahwi who were involved.

KEMETIC HISTORY OF TRANSATLANTIC TRADE

Our Kemetic history pages tell us that by the year 1441, when Henry the Navigator made his request to Pope Eugene IV to lead raids into Meritah (Africa) to capture and enslave men, the Pharaonic society had already abandoned the Hapi (Nile) Valley, leaving its monuments and riches to hungry invaders who had persisted for over two millennia. The persistence of the starving tribes north of the Mediterranean Sea coming into Itoure (Valley of the Kings) to loot the wealth of the Pharaonic throne lasted for two millennia, so long that it had prompted the Pharaoh Inus to organize the first defense army in 2300 BC. It was through these lootings that the European territories were first exposed to material and non-material wealth, astronomical knowledge and domesticated plants and animals.

There have been many conflicts between the Northern Kemetic territories and Europeans from across the sea. When one considers the desperation of early Europe, a region with no cultivated land or domesticated animals, one will understand European resentment for people occupying a region of wealth and abundance. Many conflicts preceding the current era stemmed from the impatience of those arriving to the Valley of the Kings upon realizing that the only way to achieve the greatness that Kemet displayed was the arduous path of spiritual initiation. As Europeans gained materials (through looting) and unprecedented knowledge (from what they could learn in their short time in Kemetic initiations), their aggressive ambitions birthed new philosophies towards human life and more specifically social control. Around 900 BC, with the Greek cultural revolution, cultural and religious expansion spurred many more conflicts with all of the Kemmioo (people of Kemetic culture) who were willing to fight for the survival of their cultural identity (i.e. Hannibal, Amilcal, etc.).

However, since Pharaonic times, Europeans who were not aggressively trying to conquer or loot were received by Kemetic cultures whose principles demand that hospitality and charity be given to strangers. Around 1000 AD, a few centuries before modern history books cite the birth of transatlantic trade, foreigners were brought before Kings and these Kemetic Kings took the chance to build new alliances. Though there was not much that European travelers could offer in trade with Meritah royalty, these Kings were more than ready to extend themselves in whatever way they could. Kemetic culture, as dictated by Divine Order, demands that one helps another whenever possible. For example, the third commandment of The Great Book of Divine Ordinances states, “Thou shall not deprive a poor person of their subsistence”.

COMMENCEMENT OF TRADE

Europeans offered what they had. They pitched their customs of brutality and enslavement, suggesting African Kings expand their territories by killing neighboring villagers, a method which had proven to be effective back in Europe. But this blatant contradiction to Kemetic spiritual values was rejected. As the bonds between Europeans and Kemetic royalty grew, the perspective shared by Europeans led those Kings to be more and more suspicious of their neighbors. These relationships were centuries old by the 1400s and also led to drastic changes for the European world. Such crucial influences have been written out of a history formulated to justify or validate the enslavement of those Kemetic men and women who presented Europe’s forefathers with a chance to come out of obscurity. Materials as integral to modern life as soap, perfume, incense, glass and world maps were all revealed to Europe through these early interactions. Perhaps even more indispensable to the European world order (and modern military complex) was that these trades marked Europe’s first exposure to alcohol and gunpowder.

One should notice that “gunpowder civilizations” (cultures using gunpowder in warfare) did not arise within Eurasia until the 1400s. Consider that gunpowder had been known for centuries in Meritah, but no one even imagined using it to destroy human life. It was used only in spiritual ceremonies to honor the Divine World. Meritah society in general was founded on spiritual values and giving an opportunity for each individual to pursue Divine qualities.

Through these bonds and the accumulation of Kemetic world maps, which had exposed unknown territories and sea routes, European sea exploration had expanded exponentially. Before then, European culture had been deathly afraid of the ocean. One can read in early European literature about sea monsters and horrific creatures that filled the watery unknown. Before Henry the Navigator and the students of his School of Navigation in Spain, Europeans did not venture past Cape Bojador (on the north-western shore of the Sahara desert). Only through these relationships with the people of Meritah had they been exposed to the navigational technology and nautical knowledge that made this possible. It was only with the help of Meritahan guides that European explorers reached the western hemisphere near the end of the 15th century.

THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE

In the West, they found the largest fertile farmland they had ever seen: a rich land of unimaginable wealth. The Spanish named it El Dorado, (the city of wealth). They sought the help of Meritahan farmers who assisted to cultivate land in the “New World.” Meritahwi had a long history of traveling to the Western hemisphere (see Volume 62 In Search of the Gods). These Meritahan passengers who accompanied new European explorers to assist them were brought back home after spending time working alongside Europeans in the New World. This partnership had now opened a triangle trade. Materials, knowledge and assistance from Meritah were going to the West while the yields of farming and discovery in El Dorado were now being shipped back to Europe. Europe was processing these raw materials from El Dorado and creating new types of alcohol and products they could now trade in Meritah.

Kemetic Kings along the Western Coast slowly began to reap the benefits of the wealth that Europe was accumulating. Europe’s leverage in these trades was growing. Now influenced by new ambitions, Kemetic Kings on the coast began to look towards expanding their territory, but as they expanded, instead of killing, they captured men from neighboring villages and used them as indentured servants. It was these servants who were now the ones sent on these trips West. At a certain point their captives stopped returning, but these coastal Kings were so drunk from greed and their growing power that they didn’t think too much of it. None of them could fathom the horrors those men would experience in the West.

Greed affects the human spirit and traps the individual in his own insatiable desires. That greed would push coastal African slave captors further and further North in order to capture more and more men to feed these trades, which now either yielded, or were enforced by new European guns. European slave captors did not venture inland. They depended on their alliances with the Coastal Kings. However, it is important to state, considering the common misunderstanding perpetuated by colonial historians, that this was not a situation of Coastal Kings selling slaves. As the Prophet Neb Naba, Director of The Earth Center (an institution serving as a bridge for those wishing to return to their Ancestral culture) stated, “there were no salesmen sent to Europe advertising the enslavement of Africans”. This was the result of these interactions over centuries between Meritahwi and Europeans. This was a meeting of two cultures. Within these two paradigms the same materials, knowledge and wealth produces vastly different results. Tragically, one of these cultures already resisting the attack of new religious doctrines, had now begun turning its back on the rigidity of Kemetic spiritual values: the very foundation of its identity.

INFLUENCE OF THE TRIANGLE TRADE

The Transatlantic Trade is without a doubt the most influential phenomenon shaping the modern world. The industrial revolution began in the mid 1700s, more than 200 years after enslavement of Meritahwi began and Europe had already been exposed to the manufacturing techniques and materials of Meritah and Maanu (the Americas). The resources from this trade provided the building blocks of the modern world. These resources were supplied to all of Europe’s colonies and territories and were the precursor to the world’s current march towards modern “development”.

This march has not ended. The wealth of America today is the consequence of the triangle trade. Major financial companies such as Lehman Brothers built their wealth from human trade. Insurance agencies such as Aetna got their start by selling insurance policies to enslavers insuring the lives of those they enslaved. Banks like Chase, Wells Fargo and Bank of America all profited from the accumulation of wealth from this trade that lines the economic power of the country. Universities like Princeton, Brown, and Harvard Law all started by recruiting from the wealthy families that led the industry of human chattel. The famous Wall Street, before trading stocks and bonds, traded enslaved Meritahwi. It was those enslaved men who built the wall that provides its infamous name. Their blood and sweat traded among barbarians is what built New York into the financial powerhouse it is today. New York had the largest urban slave population in mainland North America. However, the specifics seem almost pointless when one considers that this country built itself from the knowledge, resources and accumulated free labor of Meritahwi for three centuries. Its leaders were enslaving men and women; its taxpayers were paying with money they had accumulated from trading and enslaving other human beings; its government buildings were built by Meritahwi; even its secret societies (Freemasons, Rosicrucians, etc.) were employing what knowledge they had picked up from the Kemetic civilization that their Ancestors had tried tirelessly to destroy. They inherited this tireless effort and continued to destroy any signs of the Kemetic legacy in order to protect their wealth.

The mental and physical energy of Meritahwi have been invested in the modern system since before the country was even fully realized. Enslaved men and women who reached the shores of America lent their genius and abilities to build America. The same was true for those who reached Europe and all its colonies. Their ideas, contributions and abilities were utilized, but most often stolen, plagiarized and misrepresented. One grave misrepresentation is that enslavement ended with legislative bills within the colonies of those who had imposed it.

After the foundation of modern capitalism (i.e. the arrival of stock companies, modern industry, and government) was already firmly established, slavery was transformed. It was the same progression that had been utilized in Europe a few centuries before. When infrastructure is built up enough through the violent enslavement of others, it is just more cost effective and energy efficient to refine the enslavement process so that the children of those enslaved men and women will continue to give their life and labor to you without you having to provide their livelihood. If the enslaved will work for the benefit of the enslaver without being physically forced to, that is one less job for the enslavers.

Our energies are still volunteered to a system with no identity other than enslavement and destruction. Only since European culture has been imposed on the planet have people started identifying barbarism as civilizational advancement. Today this philosophy maintains its reign over our societies whether in media (Hollywood and the music industry), modern warfare, or modern politics. The same materials used in Kemetic culture to approach purity, quality, and perfection (i.e. gunpowder, alcohol, gold, etc.) are now used by men and women of the modern culture to self-destruct and destroy the world around them.

Instead of continuing to write a history as destroyers, authors and actors of this modern system, those who are courageous enough must learn from history. A culture sculpts the perception of its ad- herents. The same equation that set the European for the savage destruction he has unleashed on the globe is now provided to the world’s “People of Colour”. The modern world has left them in the position of the have-nots; it has presented them with perfect excuses to retaliate against those who have done them harm. Most importantly it has separated them from their Ancestral cultures of preservation and replaced it with a culture of destruction.

In Europe, people fell victim to enslavement only after ceasing to pursue their Ancestral traditions. In Meritah, people became enslaved after turning their back on the values that their Ancestors had always kept sacred. They abandoned their spiritual obligations to fulfill their own desires and ambitions.

Today, humanity is cursed: locked in a self-destructive confusion that has resulted from leaving the direction set out by our predecessors and defined by Kemetic civilization. In addition to the material advances that traveled around the globe, so too did the spiritual systems of Kemet. Within modern culture, where individuals desperately seek to fill the emptiness of human souls devoid of spiritual practice, the spread of these spiritual systems provide individuals an opportunity out of desperation. Voodoo, Santeria, Palo, etc., have traveled to the colonial territories of the world. The original M’TAM schools have re-emerged to rewrite the history of the last two centuries and realign our path ahead out of the slave societies of the modern world towards our original pursuit: recreating the World of the Gods.

"No matter how far one walks down the wrong path, he will have to turn around, retrace his steps to where the wrong turn was made in order to get back on track."

-Prophet Neb Naba Lamoussa Morodenibig
